The plant's operation manager Matoin said Monday that the coal stock had declined to the minimum level as the shipment of about 13,500 tons of coal had been delayed due to bad weather.

He said that the power plant, with a capacity of 2 x 300 MW, would be in a serious problem if the coal shipment did not arrive within the next few days.

The power plant, which was officially inaugurated by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono recently, supplies to the power to the Java and Bali power distribution system.

The power plant, built by Chengda Engineering Corporation of China (CECC) in cooperation with local investor, PT Sumber Segara Primadaya. (*)
