Cilacap power plant gets offline due to tsunami

State electricity firm PLN said on Tuesday that 600-MW Cilacap coal-fired power plant in Cilacap, Central Java was shut down on Monday following an earthquake and tsunami that hit southern part of West and Central Java on Monday.
?PLN is taking precaution to shut down the plant for inspection after water teratement facilities in the plant was leaked. The leak is currently being repaired and the plant is expected to get back online late Tuesday,? PLN?s senior official Muljo Adjie.
An earthquake with 7.7 Richter Scale magnitude followed by tsunami hit the area on Monday, leaving more than a hundred people dead and many missing. (godang)
