State electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) has given assurance that there will not be any blackouts despite the problem of operating coal-fired Cilacap power plants to the optimum, Media Indonesia reported Tuesday.
Currently, Cilacap plant is operating normally after the coal supplies returned to normal following the improvement of weather condition.
?PLN has ensured that there will not be any blackout. If it is forced to go for a blackout, it should be rotational in nature. But based on the information from the field, the coal supplies has returned to normal,? PLN president director Eddie Widiono told journalists in Jakarta on Monday.
"We were forced to shut down one unit of Cilacap power plant but it was not completely shut down," Eddie said. (*)
