Cilacap refinery awarded ISO certificate for environment management

State oil and gas company Pertamina on Monday has been awarded ISO 14001 certificate from a German certification agency, TUV, for its achievements in the environment management at its Cilacap oil refinery plant in Central Java.
TUV Indonesia president director Markus Hattemer presented the award certificate to Pertamina president director Baihaki Hakim in a ceremony on Monday.
Hattemer said the Cilacap operation, called UP IV, had consistently carried out programs in line with existing laws on environment.
Meanwhile, on Nov. 5 Pertamina also received another award, SNI/ISO 19-17025-2000 certificate, from National Accreditation Committee (KAN) for the achievements made by the laboratory unit at the Cilacap refinery.
Cilacap is Indonesia?s biggest refinery with the capacity to process up to 348,000 barrels of crudes per day. (Godang/Leo)
