The turn-around was conducted from July 1-31. ?Currently all the Cilacap?s units have been operating at full capacity,? he said.
Cilacap refinery was divided into three major units, namely Oil Refinery I (FOC I), Oil Refinery II (FOC II) and paraxylene refinery. FOC I was built in 1974 with initial capacity of 100,000 barrels per day (bpd). The capacity was then increased 118 000 bpd through debottlenecking program.
FOC I is designed to process crudes from the Middle East, into fuels and non-fuel products, such as lubes.
Along with the growing need, Pertamina FOC II was built in 1981 and began operations in 1983 with a capacity of 200,000 bpd. Then in 1998/1999, the capacity of FOC II again increased to 230 000 bpd. This refinery was designed to process oil ?cocktail? that is a mix of locally-produced and imported crudes.
The Cilacap refinery is the country?s biggest refinery with capacity of 348,000 bpd.(godang)
