Independent power producer PT.Sumber Segara Primadaya has partially resumed operations of its Cilacap power plant in Central Java after barges unloaded coal at its port, a company official said on Saturday.
CEO Dandung A. Sulaiman told Petromindo.Com that the plant?s unit two with capacity of 300 MW has been back online on January 10 and has resumed supply Java-Bali electricity grid.
Another unit with similar capacity is expected to go back online on Saturday, he said.
The company was forced to shut down its entire 600-MW capacity early this month after Java Sea was hit by high waves and storm, causing coal vessels unable to approach the port and unload the cargo. (godang)
