Cilegon Fabricators to manufacture coal boilers

PT Cilegon Fabricators, a local subsidiary of Japan?s IHI Corp, plans to start next year commercial production of what is claimed as the latest coal boiler technology that would allow for the use of low rank coal as fuel in power plants, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Monday.
The paper quoted Cilegon Fabricators Director Riady Zakir as saying that the company is still completing the final study of the new coal boiler innovation, and hopes it to start commercial production in July 2017.
He added that the new coal boiler is currently under study phase and has been installed at PT Pupuk Kujang fertilizer plant in Cikampek, West Java. (*)
