Indonesia-listed lender PT Bank CIMB Niaga is looking to finance two coal projects worth over US$200 million in the first quarter of next year.
"In the first quarter of 2012 we may carry out two projects for coal companies. We already secured the mandate to become the lead arranger in one of the projects," Catherine Hadiman, CIMB Niaga Vice President Director, said over the weekend.
She said the two projects would require dollar-denominated credits, be it syndicated or club deal, valued at over $100 million each. As a lead arranger, the bank would partner with other lenders.
As of September, CIMB Niaga has channeled Rp 121.71 trillion in credits, a 26% increase from a year earlier. (*)
