Cinovasi eyes power plant market segment

PT Cinovasi Rekaprima, which provides technology solution consultancy, systems integration and maintenance services in various industries including power plant, is seeking for new market opportunities in coal-fired power plant projects with capacity of less than 100 MW.

?We?re currently focusing on the coal-fired power plant market,? CEO of Cinovasi, Ronaldi Junarto said on Thursday, pointing out that coal-fired power plants dominate the country?s power plant sector.

The government has set up an ambitious target of developing a combined 35,000 MW of power plants over the next five years, much of which to be fueled by coal.

?We?re targeting the power plants with capacity of less than 100 MW because of the opportunity is wide open for system integrator and automatization services supplier as the power plants (of less than 100 MW capacity) usually are still using conventional system. Meanwhile, power plants with capacity of more than 100 MW usually already have vendors bundled with integration and automatization system,? he said.
