Independent power producer PT Cirebon Energi Prasarana (CEPR), a sister company of PT Cirebon Electric Power (CEP), expects to be able to sign the financial closure for the 1,000 MW coal-fired power plant project in Cirebon, West Java, at the end of July 2016.
President Director of CEPR, Heru Dewanto told Petromindo.com that currently the company is waiting for the business feasibility warranty letter (or SJKU) from the Ministry of Finance. ?We are looking forward to obtain SJKU from the Minister of Finance. Once we get the SJKU, soon, we expect to sign financial closing by end of July 2016,? he said.
Heru revealed that the company has obtained the required construction license (IMB) for the estimated US$2 billion power plant project. ?And we have already sent notice to proceed to the contractor for commencing early development especially for civil works such as developing access road and land preparation,? he said. Heru explained that the development of the project will take around 51 months from the ground breaking to completion.
