Citra Tubindo, Nippon Steel form strategic alliance

JSX-listed pipemaker Citra Tubindo Tbk on Thursday announced that it had formed strategic alliance with Japan?s Nippon Steel Corporation (NSC) to market the latter?s special steel pipe connection known as ?Nippon Steel Premium Joints (NSPJ)? to oil and gas industry worldwide.
The company in its report to The Jakarta Stock Exchange also said that NSC would close its steel mill in Japan and would transfer patent right and technology to produce NSPJ to Citra Tubindo starting April 2003. (robert)
