Clough secures A$125m West Natuna gas project

ASX listed engineering firm Clough Limited announced on Tuesday that its associate company PT Petrosea Tbk, has received a Letter of Intent jointly with PT Nisconi, a subsidiary of Nippon Corporation of Japan for the A$125 million Gajah Baru Gas Export Project, located in the West Natuna Sea for Premier Oil Natuna Sea BV.

"The Gajah Baru project is another landmark contract for the Clough Group and for Indonesia," Brian Hewitt, managing director of Clough Limited said.

Work on the project is already underway with a 10-week re-engineering phase. Once completed the full contract will be executed for the detailed design, procurement, installation and commissioning with completion and first production due in 24 months.

Clough has previously worked with Premier oil in Indonesia on the Kakap project and is currently working on the Myanmar Yetagun project.

The scope of the contract includes the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of an offshore production and compression platform and approximately 3 kilometre of 200 millimetre subsea pipeline inclusive of tie-ins.(alex)
