CNBM International seeks for more low-rank coal

Chinese trading firm CNBM International Corporation is is seeking to raise coal imports from Indonesia to 4 million next year from this year?s target of 3.4 million tons, the company?s officer told Petromindo.Com.

?We are looking for more low-rank coal with calorific value of 3,800 kcal/kg (NAR) with sulphur of less than 1 percent,? project manager Edvin said on Thursday.

So far, the company has secured 1.5 million tons of coal for next year from an East Kalimantan coal miner, he added, without giving the name of the coal supplier. (denny)
