CNOOC plans EOR at oil, gas field in RI

China National Oil Offshore Company (CNOOC) plans to carry out enhanced oil recovery (EOR) program at its oil and gas field in Indonesia.
?CNOOC has requested for permit (to implement EOR), and currently is at the stage of preparation to implement the EOR program,? Ausie Gautama, Deputy for Planning at upstream authority SKK Migas told Petromindo.com. He did not provide further details.
A source, however, told Petromindo.com that CNOOC is currently making preparations to carry out EOR program at the Pabelokan field in the South East Sumatra (SES) Block in the Java Sea.
The source added that CNOOC is working hard to help stop the current declining production rate at SES, which in January-February period stood at 34-35 bpd.
