CNOOC seeks to replace damaged generator at Lentera Bangsa

China National Offshore Oil Company South East Sumatra (CNOOC SES) is holding a tender to seek a replacement of power generator damaged by a fire at the FSO Lentera Bangsa last September.

?CNOOC is holding a tender for a jack up to replace the damaged power generator,? Gde Pradnyana, Head of PR, Security and Formality Division at BPMIGAS, told petromindo.com.

Gde is hoping that the new facility would help CNOOC return production at the in north business unit in Java sea to normal. As reported earlier, the fire at the Lentera Bangsa has resulted in a production loss of up to 12,000 barrels of oil per day.

BPMIGAS has earlier deployed MT Brahmani vessel, belonging to PT Pertamina, to temporarily replace FSO Lentera Bangsa, which allows CNOOC SES? oil and gas field to operate partially.
