CNOOC spuds Jambi appraisal well

Indonesian unit of Chinese oil giant CNOOC Ltd on Thursday inaugurated the spudding of Kenanga#3 appraisal well in Batanghari PSC onshore Jambi, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said.
Chief of Representative for southern Sumatra Elan Biantoro told Petromindo.Com that the well will be drilled to the depth of 6,800 feet.
Elan said the well was the first of the two back-to-back appraisal wells planned for Kenanga#1 gas discovery. The Kenanga#1 exploration well flowed 8.41 MMCFD of gas per day and 39.2 barrel of condensate per day during test in 2010. (godang)
