CNOOC to drill-stem test Sumatra exploration well

Indonesian unit of Chinese oil, gas firm CNOOC Limited said it has completed the drilling of Kenanga-1 exploration well in Batanghari PSC, onshore Central Sumatra.
CNOOC Indonesia VP Relations and General Affairs Sugiarto Moechammad told Petromindo.Com on Monday that the company will conduct drill stem test on the well this week.
Sugiarto said the rig will move to another drilling location within the PSC called Matahari-1. ?Access road from Kenanga-1 to Matahari-1 has been completed and well site is ready to receive the drilling rig,? he said.
CNOOC has 87 percent stake in the block, which was awarded in 2006. (godang)
