CNOOC to drill Timor Sea well year-end

Indonesian unit of Chinese oil firm CNOOC Ltd will commence drilling at its South Palung Aru exploration block offshore Timor Sea by year-end.

CNOOC Indonesia VP Relations and General Affairs Sugiarto Moechammad told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that the Company, together with partner Malaysian firm Petronas Carigali will drill one well in the block.

CNOOC has 67 percent stake in the block with Petronas controlling the balance. (godang)
