CNOOC to farm-out exploration blocks

Chinese oil, gas firm CNOOC Ltd is seeking to farm-out part of interest in two exploration blocks in onshore Sumatra and in Timor Sea, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Monday.
Deputy Chairman Haposan Napitupulu told Petromindo.Com that the CNOOC wanted to farm out stake at Batanghari block onshore central Sumatra and in Palung Aru offshore block in Timor Sea.
Haposan did not give further detail.
According to Petromindo data, CNOOC has 87 percent interest in Batanghari and 67 percent interest in Palung Aru. The company is the operator of both blocks. (godang)
