Wednesday, March 15 2006 - 09:06 AM WIB

Upstream oil and gas company BPMIGAS said on Wednesday that CNOOC might still have additional gas reserves from its Offshore Southeast Sumatra PSC near Jakarta to be supplied to state oil and gas company PLN.

?CNOOC had indicated that they might be able to add supply of 40MMCFD to PLN,? said BPMIGAS chairman Kardaya Warnika, adding that CNOOC would give firm commitment by the end of March.

PLN and CNOOC had signed contract to supply gas to PLN?s Cilegon power plant from 2006 to 2018 at a rate of around 80MMCFD. Earlier reports said that PLN would buy CNOOC?s gas for US$2.67 per MMBTU.

CNOOC is the operator of Offshore Southeast Sumatra PSC with 65.3 percent interest.(alex)
