Coal association complains Pertamina over diesel prices

Indonesia Coal Mining Association (APBI) complained Pertamina for imposing a higher price of diesel fuel for coal firms, according to APBI secretary Jeffrey Muliono.

?Pertamina had imposed international prices for diesel fuel sold to coal miners in East Kalimantan and other areas. This was against the presidential decree, which stipulated that diesel fuel prices for coal companies were half the international prices,? Muliono told Petromindo.com on Friday.

Meanwhile, foreign joint ventures outside the coal-mining sector can buy diesel fuel from Pertamina at international prices, Muliono quoted the presidential decree as saying. The decree was put into effect in April.

?The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources should feel concerned about this matter,? Muliono said. (Godang)
