Hundreds of local Loa Janan people in East Kalimantan blockaded PT John Holland, the contractor of coal mining company PT Anugerah Bara Kaltim on Tuesday in a demonstration to demand job at the former, the local Kaltim Post daily reported.
The paper said that the blockade had paralyzed the contractor company for six hours before local Loa Janan administration managed to negotiate with the demonstrators and ended the blockade.
The demonstrators said that Anugerah had previously promised them job at John Holland.
The paper, however, did not say what kind of resolution was reached.(*)
