ASX-listed Coal Fe Resources Limited announced on Wednesday the resignation of Faris Azmi Abdul Rahman.

Faris has been a founding director of the company since it listed in 2007 and has largely held the position of finance director, responsible for the company?s Indonesian finances.

Faris has resigned to pursue other business opportunities.

The board is seeking to appoint appropriately skilled members to the board in due course.

Managing Director, Robert Swarbrick said, ?we would like to thank Faris for his significant contribution to the Board and the company over an extended period from the initial listing of the Company on the ASX and we wish him well in his new business endeavors.?

Coal Fe was formed with the vision to be a reliable coal producer in Indonesia in meeting the energy needs of the republic and other countries in Asia. To date, the company has successfully brought the Abadi Coal Project in East Kalimantan from a complete green field to production. Its coal produce is currently being marketed in both domestic and export markets.

Apart from coal, the company also explores opportunities in other minerals and ores in Indonesia.
