Coal-fired power plant in Ende starts operation

The 2x7 MW coal-fired power plant in Ropa, Maurole District, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, started operation on May 21, a local report said.
Albert Siregar, a manager at state-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara was quoted as saying Kupang Pos daily that the power plant supplies electricity to meet growing demand in Ende.
He said that electricity supply from the Ropa plant will increase once it runs at its full capacity of 2x7 MW. (*)
