Coal miner complains of illegal mining at its site

Coal mining company PT Suryatiara Nusawaha called on the local authorities to take action against a group of illegal miners entering its mining sites in the Tanjung Batu area of Kelumpang Tengah distric, Kotabaru regency, South Kalimantan.
The local Banjarmasin Post daily reported Wednesday that the illegal miners were coordinated by three men identified as Dry, Ag, and Bas. They used 12 bulldozers in their activity.
Head of the Kotabaru mining office Abdul Hamid vowed to immediately resolve the case as the office was committed to curb illegal mining activities.
He said that he would dispatch a team to check the situation. (*)
