Coal & Oil to increase Indonesian coal import

UAE firm Coal& Oil Company LLC will import 4.5million tonnes of Indonesian coal this year, ups from 4MT in 2008.
Senior Manager-Trading Kaamil Fareed said the company main suppliers under terms contracts are East Kalimantan miner PT.Kideco Jaya Agung (1.5MT) and Bayan Group (1 MT). The rest, he said will come from spot contracts.
Fareed said the company is also eyeing to acquire Indonesian coal property to supply its power plant in India, which will start operations in 2012. (denny)
