Coal production reaches 174 mt in first semester: ICMA

Indonesia Coal Mining Association (ICMA) said that the country?s coal production reached 174 million tons in the first six months this year.

Bob Kamandanu, ICMA Chairman told Petromindo.com that average monthly production was about 29 million tons in the first semester this year.

Previously, ICMA said that the production in the first quarter 2012 was 101 million tons. Executive Director ICMA Supriatna Suhala told Petromindo.com that the production in the first quarter was not influenced by the bearish market. However, Supriatna added that the production in second quarter might be influenced.

Supriatna said that the bearish market would start to influence the production in second quarter because many buyers wanted to revise their contract.
