IDX-listed transshipment company PT MBSS Tbk?s coal transhipment to vessels destined to China has been slowing down in recent days in anticipation of the Lunar New Year Holiday.
Industrial source told Petromindo.com that in anticipation of the holiday, mother vessels have been disallowed to enter seaports in China.
"Since February 10, 2015, the vessel has been disallowed to enter the port. Thus, coal deliveries have been postponed,? the source said adding that transshipment activity to vesssels headed for China will be back to normal in the middle of this month.
At present, the company?s transshipments activities are focused on delivering coal to domestic power plants.
The Lunar New Year Festival will fall on Feb. 19 this year.
