COAL TENDER: India's MMTC tenders for 3 million tonnes of coal

TENDER for Procurement and Supply of Non-coking Steam (Thermal) Imported Coal to GSECL and other Utilities

INTRODUCTION
Our various clients, have requirement of 30 lakh Metric Tonnes of Non-coking Steam (Thermal) Imported Coal.

INSTRUCTIONS:
MMTC Limited invites tender from the eligible bidders for Supply of total 30 lakh Mt (10 Lakh = 1 million) of Non-Coking Steam (Thermal) Imported Coal in Bulk to various customers on Highseas Sales Basis / C&F of Type-1 (GCV (AD) 6300 Kcal/Kg) & Type II (GCV (AD) 6000 Kcal/Kg) to various Thermal Power Stations.

Important Notice: The Bidder to note that the tender is for Indian Rupee payment and Bidder will quote CIF Prices for Type-1 & Type -II Coal for all the Discharge Port(s) mentioned in the tender, as per the Price Schedule specified in the Tender. The bidder should obtain all necessary and related statutory clearances applicable for supply of imported coal on highseas sales basis from the concerned Authorities. Bidder shall offer Type-1 & Type II Coal having specifications having the ranges as specified in Section-III. The Bidder should offer the prices considering the Guaranteed point values of Parameters of Coal as specified under clause no. 3.2 of Section-III. The offers having coal inferior to the acceptable range mentioned above will be rejected. The typical coal from single seam shall be offered. Blended coal shall not be offered. Bidder shall furnish ultimate analysis & ash analysis of coal. Typical granulometry of the offered coal will also be provided.

MMTC based on the requirement of its customer can also ask the bidders for payment in US$ if the requirement of the customer warrants for the same. Hence the Bidders are requested to furnish the details of its overseas supplier in case the payments have to be remitted in US$.

Submission of Bid:
Bidders may please download tender document from our website www.mmtclimited.com/ www.tenders.gov.in and shall submit tender documents in original down loaded form, duly signed and stamped at each page as token of acceptance of all terms and conditions. Tenders received over Fax/ Mail or copy of the tender shall be summarily rejected.

Bidder shall submit their offer in three separate sealed Envelopes-Envelope ?A? shall contain only the required Earnest Money Deposit. The envelope should be superscripted on top of the Envelope Tender No. MMTC/C&HC/IMP COAL/UTILITIES/09-10/1009 Dated 19/09/09 and should contain the details of EMD furnished. The offers of those bidders, who do not submit the EMD, will be summarily rejected.

Envelope B shall contain Technical Bid and all documents complying the qualifying requirements. It should be superscribed on top of the Envelope as ?TECHNICAL BID FOR TENDER NO. Tender No. MMTC/C&HC/IMP COAL/UTILITIES/09-10/1009 Dated 19/09/09

?There should be no details regarding price bid in this Envelope, containing the Technical Bid and EMD. If any price indication is found in this Envelope containing technical bid, such tender shall be summarily rejected.

Similarly price bid for all destinations should be properly sealed in the second Envelope ?C?. On top of the envelope it should be marked as ?PRICE BID FOR Tender No. MMTC/C&HC/IMP COAL/UTILITIES/09-10/1009 Dated 19/09/09.

All the three Envelopes, i.e. A, B, & C should be placed in one single overall Envelope superscribing TENDER NO. MMTC/C&HC/IMP COAL/CUSTOMER/09-10/1009 Dated 19/09/09 for supply of imported Steam (Non coking) Coal and should be submitted before 14:30 hrs. (IST) on 30.09.2009 to the General Manager (Coal & Hydrocarbon) MMTC Limited, 7th Floor, Core ? I, 7, Institutional Area, New Delhi ? 110 003, India.
