COAL TENDER: Indonesia Power opens tender for Suralaya coal supply

PT.Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state electricity firm PLN announced on Wednesday the opening of pre-qualification (PQ) tender to supply coal to its Suralaya 3,400-MW power plant in Banten province starting 2009.

The company invites coal contract of work (CCOW) holders which have coal with minimum CV of 5,100Kcal/kg (AR) or 6,300 kcal/kg (ADB) to participate in the tender.

The company said the tender was set to secure mid-term supply for the power plant, but did not give detail about the volume of the coal it sought.
