COAL TENDER: KEPCO invites biddders to supply coal to Cebu power plant

Invitation to Bid

KEPCO SPC Power Corporation (KSPC) invites interested parties to participate and submit bids for:

?The supply of steaming coal (320,000 Metric Tons/year) to a coal fired thermal power plant with a capacity of 2x100MW in Barangay Colon, Municipality of Naga, Province of Cebu, Philippines for 10 years?

The Bid Documents may be downloaded from www.kepcophilippines.com. Coal producers or marketing companies having long-term supply contracts with coal producers, are qualified to participate in the bidding.

The complete schedule of activities is listed as follows:
- Bid Submission Deadline: July 28, 2009 (5 PM)
- Evaluation of Commercial & Technical Proposals: July 29-30, 2009
- Selection of First Negotiable Bidder: July 31, 2009
- Mine Site Visit: August 4-5, 2009
- Execution of Contract: August 6, 2009

Bids must be delivered to the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) in the office of KSPC as indicated in the address below no later than 5 PM of July 28, 2009. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in accordance with the prescribed forms and amounts stated in the Bid Documents.

KSPC reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, to annul the bidding process and to reject all Bids at any time prior to awarding of contract, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected Bidder or Bidders.
