COAL TENDER: PJB opens 1.8MT coal supply tender for Paiton

PT. Pembangkitan Jawa Bali (PJB), a unit of state electricity firm PLN, announced on Thursday re-tender and new tender to supply coal 1.8 million tonnes of coal to its 800MW Paiton power plant in Probolinggo, East Java.

The company said under the re-tender package it sought 60,000 tonnes per month of coal with CV of 4,900Kcal/kg (AR) for one year from June 2009 to May 2010.

Under the new tender package, the company sough supply of 30,000 tonnes per month of coal with CV of 5,100 Kcal kg (AR) for three years from June 2009 to May 2012.

The company said eligible bidders are miners which had been in production for at least one, year, coal would come from single mining for each category and coal would be transported with barge with minimum capacity of 5,000 tonnes.

Bid registration would be opened throughout May 18 to May 20, 2009 at PJB?s office Jl.Ketintang Baru 11, Surabaya, East Java.(denny)
