COAL TENDER: West Bengal Power seeks 1.2MT of imported coal

Tender for International Competitive Bidding for Supply of 1.2 Million MT of Imported Coal to the Power Plants of The West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited (WBPDCL)

Sealed tenders are invited in four part bidding system from experienced parties for Supply of Non-coking (steam) Coal of Foreign origin for Different Power Stations under WBPDCL.

Quantity of supply ? 1.2 Million Metric Tonnes
Period of Contract ? 12 months
Bids close on September 20,2010.

Minimum Qualifying Requirement
- The bidder should have experience supply of at least one Million Metric Tonne of Imported Non-coking Coal per year to any Power Utility in India directly or through PSU, during any 2 (two) financial years within last 5 (five) financial years. In support of the above, the bidder must enclose performance certificate.

- The bidder must have pre-qualification requirement in his / its name.

- The bidder should have its Main office, Branch office or Liaison office in India and preferably in Kolkata.

The Bids shall be received by the office of DGM (Fuels Management), West Bengal Power Development Corporation Ltd., Bidyut Unnayan Bhawan, 3/C, LA Block, Sector ? III, Salt Lake City, Kolkata ? 700 098, West Bengal, India during (11:00 ? 15:00 Hrs IST) on all working days for Indian Rupees (INR) 2000/- in cash by producing written request in letter head .
