Coal transport via Mahakam river must pay local tax

The Samarinda administration in East Kalimantan has issued a ruling requiring coal transport via the local Mahakam river to pay retribution fee of Rp 1,000 per ton of coal, the local Kaltim Post daily reported Monday.
The paper said that the ruling was signed by the local administration, legislative council, port authority, and the customs and excise office.
