Compass Energy bags LPG FSO vessel order from ConocoPhillips

ConocoPhillips has let a turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction contract to Compass Energy Group of Singapore for an LPG floating storage and offtake (FSO) vessel for Belanak oil field off Indonesia.

Compass Energy will convert the 57,000 dwt, 224-m long Gas Concord gas carrier and operate it as an LPG-FSO.

The Gas Concord, built in 1976 by Kawasaki Heavy Industries in Kobe, Japan, and last drydocked in December 2004, is owned by Compass Energy subsidiary LGT Shipping Pte. Ltd.(*)
