PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), said that completion of the 40 km Muara Tawar-Tegal Gede gas pipeline in Bekasi, West Java, will be delayed because of difficulties in land acquisition.
"The project is not stalled, but its completion will be late because of land acquisition problems," Pertagas' President Director Hendra Jaya told Petromindo.com Friday.
Meanwhile, construction of the 30 km Muara Karang-Muara Tawar gas pipeline project (linking Jakarta and Bekasi) is nearly completed, he said. ?We are targetting the Muara Karang-Muara Tawar pipeline to be commissioning in June,? he said.
The pipelines (Muara Karang-Muara Tawar-Tegal Gede) will have a capacity of 270 mmscfd and will supply gas to the industrial areas around West Java and Jakarta.
