American oil and gas company Conoco Indonesia Inc. Tuesday began deliveries of natural gas to Singapore from its South Natuna Sea B Block, Dow Jones quoting the company as saying without citing source.
Conoco Indonesia, a unit of Conoco Inc. is the last of three operators that will deliver natural gas to Singapore via the 656-kilometer sub sea pipeline.
The other two operators - Gulf Resources (Kakap) Ltd., and Premier Oil Natuna Sea Ltd - started gas deliveries in January. Premier Oil Natuna is a unit of Premier Oil PLC.
In 1999, state-owned Pertamina agreed to sell through contractors 325 million cubic feet of natural gas a day for 22 years to Singapore's SembCorp Gas Pte.
The gas sales are expected to generate around $8 billion in revenue to be split between the Indonesian government and the three production sharing contractors. (*)
