Upstream oil and gas authority BP Migas said Friday production at Belida oil, gas facility offshore West Natural was restarted on Friday, August 6 at 5 AM, and full production is expected to be reached 12 hours after.
BP Migas deputy chairman in charge of operations Trijana Kartoatmodjo told Petromindo.Com Friday that Atwood Beacon rig, which had incurred unexpected rapid leg penetration on two of its legs on July 25, had been removed from Belida on Thursday.
The Atwood Beacon incident caused Belida operations temporary halted.
Belida produces some 17,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Trijana said works to recover the legs that had been cut off from the rig are continuing.
Belida field is located in Block B PSC, operated by ConocoPhillips. (godang)
