?The company (ConocoPhillips) plans to drill 3 delineation wells and 2 exploration wells in Ketapang block,? Ahmad Lutfi, BP Migas head of exploration, told Petromindo.Com adding that ConocoPhillips also planned to certify the hydrocarbon reserves in the block.
ConocoPhillips previously announced the discovery of potential hydrocarbon reserves at the block through the Bukit Tua-1, Jenggolo-1, and Payang-1 wells. Meanwhile, the company?s Bukit Panjang-1 well, has shown gas and minor oil resources but the well has not yet been tested yet.
Two tests on Bukit Tua-1, the second well in the program, flowed at a combined rate of 7,250 barrels of oil per day (BOPD). Two shallower zones in the Bukit Tua-1 well flowed at a cumulative rate of approximately 6 million cubic feet of natural gas per day (MMCFD).
At the Jenggolo-1 well, a test of perforations between 6,272 and 6,300 feet flowed approximately 3,600 BOPD through a 7/8-inch choke. Two additional tests of perforations between 5,806 and 5,854 feet and between 4,780 and 4,804 feet flowed approximately 5 MMCFD of natural gas through a 1-inch choke and approximately 4 MMCFD through a 1/2-inch choke, respectively.
At the Payang-1 well, a test of perforations between 4,822 and 4,854 feet flowed approximately 17 MMCFD of natural gas through a 1-inch choke.
ConocoPhillips holds a 50 percent working interest in Ketapang PSC with the remaining balance held by Petronas Carigali. (godang)
