Negotiation to pipe natural gas from ConocoPhillips -operated Corridor gas block onshore South Sumatra to state electricity company PLN?s power plants in West Java is continuing and Conocophillips confirms that it has sufficient gas reserve for the deal, local daily Sriwijaya Post reported.

?We have enough certified gas for the deal,? ConocoPhillips Indonesia president Paul C. Warwick said when hosting the visit of PLN delegation headed by president director Eddie Widiono early this week.

Eddie said South Sumatra gas is one of energy alternatives to replace gas supply contract with BP?s Offshore NorthWest Java (ONWJ), which will due in the next few years. He added that negotiation had progressed but he did not indicate the volume PLN is looking to buy.(*)
