ConocoPhillips repairs pipeline leak

US oil, gas firm ConocoPhillips has successfully repaired a pipeline leak at its Corridor block PSC onshore South Sumatra and resumed operations within 24 hours, an official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Monday.
On December 11, ConocoPhillips (Grissik) Ltd. discovered a leak in a 12? buried oil pipeline, which was close to Letang station. The company took immediate action to stop the flow of oil and isolated the area as a precautionary measure for public safety reasons. The leak was successfully repaired and the pipeline resumed service within 24 hours, Spokesperson Sulistya Hastuti said.
Hastuti said no personnel injury caused by the accident and the spill was estimated at around 15 barrels. (godang)
