ConocoPhillips shut down gas field on pipeline maintenance

Indonesian unit of US oil, gas giant ConocoPhillips start shutting down its gas production from Corridor block onshore South Sumatra from Tuesday until April 22 on scheduled pipeline maintenance.

Upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS Spokesperson Gde Pradnyana corrected his earlier statement that the shutting down would take place from April 15 to 19.

The planned shutdown may reduce daily gas production by 205 billion British thermal units and condensate output by 1,500 barrels, Gde said last week.

The Corridor block, which covers 2,359 square kilometers, has six oil and six gas fields. ConocoPhillips (Grissik) Ltd. owns 54 percent of the block, Talisman (Corridor) Ltd. has 36 percent and PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Corridor has 10 percent.(godang)
