ConocoPhillips Indonesia Inc Ltd plans to drill up to 10 wells with an estimated minimum 120 days work program in the Belida and Belanak fields in South Natuna Sea Block B PSC in 2005.

According to company’s bidding invitation for Semi – Submersible Tender Assist Drilling Rig released on Monday, the total work program will consist of 5-7 development wells and 1-3 work over at the Belida “B” and the Belanak “A” platforms.

“The preferred starting date is between March 1 and June 1, 2005,” ConocoPhillips said.

The Block B is comprised of two mature oil fields, Belida and Sembilang, and 16 gas fields in various phases of development. The largest development in the block is the Belanak field and regional production hub, which has recently commenced first production.

In July, upstream authority BPMIGAS reported a temporary suspension of operations at the Belida “B” platform following an incident occurred on Atwood Beacon rig. (Robert)
