The government has not yet received any report from US oil giant ConocoPhillips about its intention to dispose some of its Indonesian assets, an official told Petromindo.Com Tuesday.

?The company could have made such plans. But, BPMIGAS has not received any official report from the firm,? said Kardaya Warnika, deputy chairman of BPMIGAS which holds the highest authority over the country?s upstream oil and gas sector.

ConocoPhillips said recently that it was considering to sell Indonesian assets which did not give it full benefit. They were its interest in Kakap PSC offshore West Natuna; Nila exploration block, also offshore West Natuna; Block ?A? PSC onshore Aceh; Warim exploration block onshore Papua; and several others.

ConocoPhillips Indonesia?s senior official AR Dudung Natanegara told Petromindo.Com in an interview that despite its asset disposal plan, ConocoPhillips was also looking for new assets.

?We want assets that fit our investment criteria,? Dudung said. (godang)
