Consortium Bukaka-Dian Sakti win Aceh geothermal tender

Local consortium PT Bukaka Teknik Utama-PT Dian Sakti Energi-PT Global Energi Aliansi won the tender to develop a geothermal prospect in Jaboi, Nangroe Aceh Darussalam (NAD), the government?s senior officer said.

Director General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal Bambang Setiawan said on Monday that the consortium won the tender with a bid offer of Rp 1,705 (1US$ = Rp 9,500) per Kwh. He did not give further details.

The Jaboi geothermal prospect has potentials to generate 50 MW of electricity.

He also said that currently, geothermal pre-survey assignments are being conducted in Wai Ratai, Lampung province and Simbolon-Samosir in North Sumatra by local firm PT Optima Nusantara Energi.

Meanwhile, government is also offering investors to conduct pre-survey assignments in Sungai Betung, Kerinci & Pesisir Selatan regencies in Jambi and West Sumatra, respectively; Sungai Tenang, Merangin regency, Jambi; Ciseeng, Bogor & Lebak regencies, West Java and Banten provinces; Mt. Gede/Pangrango, Bogor, Sukabumi dan Cianjur regencies in West Java; Malawa, Maros regency, Pangkajene island, Bone & Barru, in South Sulawesi; Mt. Dua Saudara, Bitung regency, North Sulawesi; Sembalun, Lombok Timur regency in West Nusa Tenggara; Ulumbu, Manggarai regency in East Nusa Tenggara and Mataloko in Ngada, East Nusa Tenggara. (bernard)
