Research and Technology Minister Hatta Radjasa officially launched the construction of the project during a ground-breaking ceremony in Sangata?s ?Bukit Pelangi? area where the power plant will be located. It is also an area of government and business office buildings.
The project, which will cost Rp150 billion (US$=Rp8,840), will be completed within 12 months.
The 2X7 megawatt power plant will receive up to 80,000 tons of coal from KPC annually, free of charge.
