IDX-listed PT Exploitasi Energi Indonesia Tbk (CNKO), which is engaged in coal mining and power generation, plans to start the construction of a 1x1.2MW mini hydro power plant in Induring, West Sumatra, at the end of this year.
The company has reached funding agreement with Bank Muamalat. ?Funding requirement for the mini hydro power plant is about Rp 37.5 billion. Bang Muamalat has agreed to it (provide the funding),? CNKO Director Novriaty Sibuea told Petromindo.com.
She, however, could not exactly say when the plant would start operation as it would partly depend on how the smooth bank loan disbursement would be.
In addition to the Induring power plant project, CNKO also plans to develop two other mini hydro power plants in West Java, and two in West Java, all of which have yet to start construction process as the company has not yet secured the funding requirement.
