Construction progress at Block A PSC reaches 25%

The construction progress at Block A PSC in Aceh Province has now reached 25 percent, said Eka Satria, Director of Development at IDX-listed PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk, whose subsidiary PT Medco E&P operates the block.

?So far (construction progress) has reached 25 percent, and it has been progressing smoothly,? he told Petromindo.com, but did not provide further details.

Earlier in July, Medco E&P said the company will drill around five HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) wells along with six normal wells next year.

The block is expected to come onstream in the first quarter of 2018 with gas from the block to be channeled to state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero). The block is is 41.6 percent owned by Medco (operator) and 41.66 percent by KrisEnergy and 16.67 by Japex.
