Construction progress of a 267-km Gresik-Semarang gas pipeline has now reached 85 percent, and is expected to be completed in the middle of 2018.

This was said by President Director of PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) Suko Hartonon on Monday.

Started construction in 2015, the estimated US$250 million pipeline will transmit gas from the Jambaran Tiung Biru (JTB) gas field of PT Pertamina EP Cepu in Central Java to the Gresik gas-fired power plant owned by state-owned electricity firm PT PLN at a volume of 100 mmscfd.

The pipeline project was initially targeted for completion this year.
