Construction progress of Jatigede hydro power plant project reaches 17.6 %

State-owned electricity company PT PLN stated that the Jatigede hydro power plant project with capacity of 2x55 MW in Sumedang Regency, West Java Province, has already entered construction phase.

Anang Yahmadi, General Manager of PLN Development Unit for western part of Java told Petromindo.com on Wednesday that construction progress of the project has now reached 17.6 percent.

?The activity is still dominated by civil works, such as excavation for semi underground powerhouse and drilling waterways or tunneling,? he explained.

The project, with estimated investment of US$ 224.4 million, is expected to be on stream by May 2019. Jatigede hydro power plant project is located at Cijeunjing Village, Jatigede, Sumedang Regency.
